Meet Our Groomer:
Candy has been grooming, showing, and training professionally since 1995. She learned to groom while working in the show ring, learning from the best owners and handlers in the industry. Some of her favorite breeds to groom are the Bichon Frise, Shih Tzu, Brussels Griffon and the Poodle. She specializes in terrier hand stripping and grooming cats of all shapes and size.
Candy is an evaluator for the AKC Canine Good Citizen program. She has trained dogs in Schutzhund, competition obedience, agility, and field trials. She is a member of the Atlanta Kennel Club, Greater Atlanta Toy Dog Association, Chihuahua Club of Atlanta, German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Atlanta, Chihuahua Club of America, German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America, and the Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen Club of America. At home, she spends time taking care of her pack of chihuahuas, four cats, and one crazy German Shorthaired Pointer. And when not hanging with the dogs, she is out photographing nature and wildlife.
Candy is a member of the National Cat Groomers Institute of America (NCGIA) as well as the National Association of Professional Creative Groomers. She is seeking her master certification from both organizations and also attends continuing education from various sources within the grooming, pet care and training industry on a continuing basis.
